LOGIC IN CZECH: Středa/prostředník/soustředit se… by SlowCZECH (CZE/EN subtitles)

Hi, how is it going? How are you today? I have for you today a 2nd video in which I am showing you how logic the Czech is. Today I will speak about the words that contain the word: “Střed” – you know it. For example “Brno – střed” this is a center of Brno city. It is… střed means center. Well, and today I have for you words such as: středa, uprostřed, prostředníček, prostřední, prostředník, soustředit se a odstředivka. I know that there is Ř everywhere but those words are nice. So, lets go, what do you think? The first word is STŘEDA that you know because STŘEDA is the 3rd day of the week. (My cat again,… who is not happy.) STŘEDA is the day number 3 and its a day that is in the middle, in the center of the workweek. So Monday, Tuesday – STŘEDA – Thursday, Friday. So STŘEDA is in the middle. Its the center of the workweek. The word n 2 ( I mentionned it already ) , is: UPROSTŘED means in the center, in the middle. So when we have Brno center and Ihave in the middle of the city, I am in the center of the city. Or we have Namesti Svobody in Brno or Staromestske namesti in Prague, and I am UPROSTŘED of the square, I am in the middle, I am in the center. I am exactly the same distance far from all of his parts. Word n 3 is: PROSTŘEDNÍČEK is this finger. Its a finger that is in the middle and on which is my ring 🙂 So PROSTŘEDNÍČEK is this middle finger. The word PROSTŘEDNÍ was already used. PROSTŘEDNÍ it means that its nor up neither down, its in the middle. For example we have 3 brothers. One brother is small, one is a middle one and the third one is the big brother. So the brother who is in the middle is the middle-brother. Because he is not small neither big. Next word is: which can also be the finger that is in the middle or its a person who is in the middle of 2 people. For example there is 1 president and the 2nd president and in the middle there is PROSTŘEDNÍK who is communicating with both of them, who can be a diplomat and who at first talks to the 1st president, bla blabla, and then tells to the president n2 what had the 1st president told him. So kind of “inter….” person. PROSTŘEDNÍK is in the middle. Penultimate word is: When SE SOUSTŘEDNÍM, it means that my thoughts, my head goes in one direction. They go here in the middle. They concentrate on 1 spot. A I… (like this) am thinking, because I need to work. I am concentrating. I concentrate on one activity, on one central activity. And the last word is my favourite word: ODSTŘEDIVKA is sort of machine, lets say, that rotates. It is rotating like that, vrrrrr 🙂 For example a washing machine is ODSTŘEDIVKA when in the middle, there is some energy that is pushing everything out, that is taking it out, so out of the center. Because centrifuge. For example, the washing maching is rotating and at the end there is this cycle that is drying (so the laundry will be… slightly dry). when the laundry is rotating and all the water goes out of the center, away. Or the centrifuge is used in chemical industry, or in dairy work, when the milk is rotating like that (or like that?) in the centrifuge and the parts that we dont want – the fat parts, I guess – go aways. And thats it, I guess. I cant think of other centrifuges right now… I hope you liked todays words and that you see how logic the Czech is.
